Having coached club and college ultimate for a long time, Zach is thrilled to return to high school coaching with Bard!
As an ultimate frisbee community leader, Zach sits on the board of DiscNY, the nonprofit governing body of the sport in New York. In his time with DiscNY, Zach started the Pay-What-You-Can program, lowering cost barriers for participants, and the annual fundraising gala.
As a player, Zach plays primarily beach ultimate now. He captains the NYC men's beach team that qualified for beach club world championships in 2024 in Portugal, where they finished 24th and won the Spirit Award,ranking 1st out of 118 teams. He also co-founded and captained the club team Shade from 2017 to 2022.
In his professional life, Zach is a pianist and music educator. He graduated from North Carolina School of the Arts with a Master's in piano performance. He is the founder and facilitator of an open music education series called Studio Showcase.
